Two Medicus Putting   Solutions

The Medicus swing trainer is known to most golfers.  This innovative club that actually has hinges which break if a golfer is not swinging the club correctly, is the best selling golf training aid of any kind.  Well over a million golfers have purchased a Medicus driver and use it to practice with on a regular basis.  Most golfers are not aware, however, that the Medicus company also has two solutions to help golfers improve their scores with the club that is used the most, the putter.

The Medicus putter, called the Overspin putter, is designed in such a way that the golf ball immediately starts rolling with over spin, as opposed to skidding along for a foot or two.  This skidding can cause the putt to be just a bit off line.  So with the Oversping putter the ball rolls on a truer line.  This action is made possible by cutting away the bottom of the putter all along the face, from the toe to the heel of the club head.  This means that the golf ball is struck higher, that is, at or above its equator, and this imparts immediate over spin to the ball.

The MOI, or moment of inertia, of the Overspin putter is very high.  There is weight distributed at the heel and toe of the club head as well as in the back behind the club face.  This also makes the center of gravity of the club be located low and well behind the putter face.  These features make for putts that are solidly struck and are more consistent.  The two line alignment system is also prominent.

The bottomless club face design of the Overspin putter creates advantages when your ball is just off the green in the fringe.  You’ll be able to putt more of these shots rather than using a chipping club because the putter face creates less resistance through the grass.  And once again, the fact that the ball is hit higher and gets rolling with over spin right away makes these shots easier and more effective.

The second of the putting improvement options offered by Medicus is the putter trainer.  This is a device used for practice only.  It attaches to any regular putter and turns your putter into a club with two handles.  The hands are separated, and this forces the golfer to use the large upper muscles of the body and shoulders to swing the putter.  In addition it helps eliminate any breaking of the wrists, which is a bad habit shared by many weekend golfers.

In addition to being very reasonable price-wise, the Overspin putter and the Medicus putter trainer will almost certainly lower your handicap.  They are surely worth a look-see.
